AKT is a development partner and system supplier of advanced plastic components for the automobile industry with plants in Germany, the Czech Republic and Spain. The range of services includes the design and development of parts for the interior and engine compartment in close consultation with the automobile manufacturer, the rapid production of prototypes and the complete and reliable mass production of the parts including finishing operations such as painting or flock printing. The company has long-standing direct customer relationships with nearly all German car manufacturers. In 2006 AKT had total sales of € 170 million and a workforce numbering approximately 1900 employees.
